Andrew Dibb

Dean of the Theological School

Andy Dibb, D.Th., M.Div., came to Bryn Athyn College Theological School in 2002 after serving as a pastor in Johannesburg, South Africa for fourteen years. While being a pastor, Andy also oversaw the ministerial education of South Africans who could not travel to Bryn Athyn. Following a passion for Christian Church history, Andy studied at the University of South Africa (UNISA), progressing until he completed his Doctor of Theology, just in time to leave for Bryn Athyn. Since 2007 Andy has filled the position of Dean of Bryn Athyn College Theological School. He works closely with faculty and students to ensure that graduates succeed in their future work.

  • Published doctoral thesis: “Servetus, Swedenborg and the Nature of God”
  • Presented and published paper: “Servetus, Swedenborg and the Nature of Salvation”
  • Presented paper to the American Society of Church History: “From Independence to Mission: The Foundations of the Swedenborgian Movement in South Africa, 1909-1920”
  • Promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor at Bryn Athyn College
