Join us as we welcome alumnus Stephen David from the New Christian Bible Study on Monday, December 9th, in Pendleton Hall. A reception will begin at 7 p.m., with his presentation at 7:30 p.m. Watch in person or online.

When I would read the Word and the Writings, I’d be frustrated by the process of getting to the inner meaning. It could easily involve half a dozen books. I wanted to see stories and the meanings side by side.In 2010, my brother Brian told me of his frustration that the explanations offered by the Writings created a too-steep learning curve for many readers. When we put those ideas together, it was a big step towards what we have today, in the New Christian Bible Study Project. And then… as we worked on it, we realized something –something that was going to turn out to be important.

About the Speaker:
Stephen David is the President and CEO of SkyMark Corporation which was co-founded with Dr. Steve Heilman. He led the development of the New Christian Bible study Project’s web application. In addition to creating other software solutions for many company’s throughout the area. Prior to that he worked in various capacities in business management and in communications working for Joy Mining Machinery Group, Joy Technologies Inc. and Denver Process Equipment Ltd.

Steve is a graduate of ANC (Class of ’78) and an alumnus of Bryn Athyn College, from there he went on to Yale University and finally for an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He and his wife Caroline are active members of the Pittsburgh New Church Society.
