Head Women's Volleyball Coach

Athletics

Amber Wood graduated from Bryn Athyn College in 2019 with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She went on to teach locally at the picturesque Pennypack Preschool, but when the pandemic hit, she switched gears and became a career Nanny. She spends her days teaching and caring for children in the home setting, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Her nights, however, are spent with her other passion: volleyball. She has been playing the sport for over 13 years and is on her 8th year of coaching. She began her coaching career at Delta Volleyball Club where she was also the Club's Volunteer Coordinator. Moving on from that, she coached for three years at her High School Alma Matre, William Tennent. After having success at one old-stomping ground, she decided to move on to her previous college to coach volleyball. Amber is very excited to start this journey at BAC.

When Amber isn't chasing kids or volleyballs, you can find her chasing her adorable Labrador Retriever, Larry. She also spends her free time whipping up new concoctions in her kitchen using ingredients from her garden!
