About
Ellen McKee taught English for 35 years in public schools, mostly in the North Penn School District. During her public school tenure she won several teaching awards, including the Voices of Inspiration Award for Teaching Excellence (2010), Teacher of the Year (2012), and the Superintendent’s Honor Roll (2014).
A lifelong resident of Huntingdon Valley and a musician, McKee plays violin in local chamber orchestras and enjoys long walks through the beautiful Bryn Athyn campus and fields.
Since her retirement from public school teaching, she has served as an adjunct at Arcadia and LaSalle Universities, teaching graduate-level English and undergraduate American Studies classes.
