Science

Dr. Deluca received a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics from the University of West Florida. After graduating, he started working in an industrial research and development lab with Pall Corporation in Pensacola, Florida. He continued his education in Atlanta, Georgia, at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a PhD in Chemistry and a doctoral minor in Materials Science and Engineering. Dr. DeLuca started working with Perovskite Solar Cells during his PhD, and continued this research in Shanghai, China, and Melbourne Australia. Dr. DeLuca joined Bryn Athyn College in 2022 as a Lecturer in Physics. In addition, he works as a Research Scientist at The Fredericks Company on research and development of sensors for various applications.

  • Awarded grant to develop an international network and international researcher exchange program between the United States and Australia, which focused on research of novel solar energy technology

  • Published manuscripts in the fields of Physical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering
