Financial Aid Award Terms and Conditions
Financial Aid Award Terms and Conditions
Students acknowledge that they have read these terms and conditions by accepting the aid posted to their student billing account and/or by actively accepting loans and/or work study awards.
To acknowledge these Financial Aid Terms and Conditions, please log on to your BAC Student Status Portal under the Financial Aid Checklist.
- The Financial Aid Office’s primary mode of communication to students is electronic via email and/or BAC online Student Portal account.
- A student’s financial aid is awarded based on merit and/or calculated financial need as determined from their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Initial financial aid award packages are calculated based on full time enrollment (minimum 9 crs) each term. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the student to notify the financial aid office of any changes to their enrollment status for applicable changes to be made to their financial aid awards.
- Federal, state, and institutional financial aid funds can only be used towards expenses that are included in the Cost of Attendance at Bryn Athyn College.
- Financial aid funds except for work-study will be applied directly to a student’s charges on their billing account (including tuition, fees, housing, and other charges) for the current term. Funds more than these charges will be refunded to the student in the form of a refund check. If subsequent charges are added, it is the responsibility of the student to pay them.
- Students have the option of having their earned student-employment wages applied directly to their student billing account balance.
- Financial aid awards are subject to adjustments and/or cancellations due to changes in regulations, funding, verification, calculation errors, change in your enrollment and/or housing status amongst others.
- Students must notify the Financial Aid Office immediately of the amount and source of any additional private/outside resource received.
- Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as described in the Student Handbook for continued financial aid eligibility.
- Students must apply for financial aid every year by submitting a FAFSA. Continued eligibility for need-based financial aid will be determined each year based on a student’s federally calculated Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) as well as federal, state, and institutional funds availability.
- Students who have been or are currently incarcerated and/or may be incarcerated during their term(s) of attendance must identify themselves to the Financial Aid Office to determine their eligibility for financial aid funds.
- If a student plans to withdraw from a term and/or the institution entirely, they must notify both the Registrar and Financial Aid Office of their intention.
