2025-26 Academic Awards and Dean's List

Each year, Bryn Athyn College of the New Church honors undergraduate students whose dedication, curiosity, and hard work set them apart. Our Academic Achievement Awards recognize excellence across disciplines — from business, mathematics, and the sciences to psychology, computer science, and the study of Emanuel Swedenborg’s Writings. Named awards celebrate the legacy of faculty, alumni, and friends who have shaped our academic community, while graduation awards mark the highest achievement within a field of study.

These honors were celebrated at the Senior Research Capstone Reception and Academic Achievement Awards, held in Pendleton Hall and Commons on May 14, 2026.

Faculty Council College Academic Award

The Faculty Council College Academic Award, the College's highest academic honor, is presented each year to students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement across their entire academic experience.

Student Research Achievements

Beyond the classroom, BACNC students are making their mark through original research — presenting at academic conferences, earning journal publications, and co-authoring studies on topics ranging from brain science to virtual reality.

Mayzie Braun

English & Communications—presented at Lycoming Undergraduate Humanities Conference. Conference journal publication 2020-2023. 

Maya Earnest-Hunsiker

Psychology—coauthored a Pilot Study Comparing QEEG brain activity for a 2-Dimensional vs. Virtual Reality-based Concussion Training Module. 

Serena Elphick 

Psychology—coauthored a Pilot Study Investigating the Effects of Photobiomodulation (PBM) and Virtual Reality (VR) Interventions to Remediate ADHD Symptoms in adults.

Dean's List

The Faculty and Administration of Bryn Athyn College of the New Church are pleased to announce that the following students have been placed on the Dean's List. Each student earned a grade point average of 3.50 or higher with an academic load of at least nine graded credits in the term. The Dean's List designation has been placed on their transcripts.
