Christmas at Bryn Athyn College is a magical time. The season kicked off with a tree lighting on the Brickman Bean in early December, where students came together to decorate the tree and reflect on the importance of Christmas time. Resident Assistants in the dorms jumped into the spirit of the season, organizing gingerbread decorating contests and Christmas movie marathons. SAAC held its annual Toys for Tots fundraiser, collecting donations at special event games—such as their tacky sweater game—and a collection bin in the College Center. They also held their food drive for Philabundance, getting everyone in the giving mood.

Of course, one of the most special events is the Applicant’s Reception. Prospective students are invited to join current students, faculty, and staff for a holiday celebration. Cairnwood Estate, one of Bryn Athyn’s beautiful castles, is festively decorated for an enchanted evening of refreshments, conversation, and a Bryn Athyn College swag raffle. Just before students leave for break, the campus community gathers for the annual  Christmas Convocation, led by head chaplain, Rev. Coleman Glenn.
