Faculty Research Opportunities

In addition to seeking external grants, faculty members can apply for research support from several internal Bryn Athyn College and Academy of the New Church funds.

  • Bryn Athyn College summer research fund: supports scholarly work leading to academic publication.
  • Carpenter fund (An Academy of the New Church fund) and Carpenter Scholars: supports academic publication, translation, and teaching related to the history of religion and to sacred languages
  • E. Bruce Glenn fund: supports the building of resources and publications, or the development of curriculum with New Church perspectives in academic disciplines
  • Grant Doering fund: supports research and education projects that benefit both the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust (PERT) and Bryn Athyn College
